Decision
Resolved – That the Economy Regeneration and
Housing Committee approves that:
1.
The increase in allocation for the JOY project be
confirmed from £4,226,809 to £4,841,809, an increase of
£615,000;
2.
The increase in allocation for the Future Yard
project to be confirmed from £1,934,000 to £2,285,500,
an increase of £351,500;
3.
The Director of Law and Corporate Services be
authorised to finalise any necessary grant funding agreements
related to recommendations 1 and 2;
4.
The Director of Finance be authorised to
ring-fence grant funding for the following projects, subject to
further due diligence, in consultation with the Chair and
Spokespersons of this committee;
a. Highways Improvements at Eureka in the sum of
£150,000; and
b. The Woodside Studios project in the sum of
£3,165,000
5.
The sum of £1,097,172 remain as a
contingency for the Local Regeneration Fund portfolio;
and
6.
The Director of Finance be requested to review
the Wirral Regeneration Fund portfolio’s financial position,
including any necessary funding contingencies and present a report
to this committee in March 2026, outlining any recommended changes
to allocations
