Purpose

The purpose of this report is to ask committee
to delegate authority to the Director of Children, Families &
Education to undertake a competitive procurement exercise for the
provision of locum educational psychologists. The locums will
support the Council’s core psychology team to provide
assessments and advices to children under the education, health,
and care plan needs assessment process (EHCNA).

Decision

Resolved – That:

 
1. 
The initiation to engage the market and review with Procurement
colleagues to agree the most appropriate procurement route for
locum Educational Psychology services be approved

 
2. 
The Director of Children, Families and Education be delegated
the authority to award the contract following completion of the
agreed procurement process and evaluation to the highest scoring
tenderer based on the Most Advantageous Tenderer criteria.
