Decision

Resolved – That

1. the Director of Children, Families and Education be authorised to:

a.   proceed with a Stage 1 consultation process on the closure of Millfields Church of England Primary School (the “school”) and

b.   consider the representations arising from the Stage 1 consultation and, in consultation with the Chair and Spokespersons of this Committee, determine whether to proceed with a statutory proposal to close the school.

1. the Director of Children, Families and Education be requested to bring back a report in the event that a statutory proposal pursuant to recommendation 1(b) above is proceeded with, to enable this Committee to consider whether or not to close the school.
