Environment and Place Scrutiny Committee

The Environment and Place Scrutiny Committee scrutinises the council's performance and decisions related to environmental and place-making matters. It evaluates services, questions plans made by the council's Executive, and considers the concerns of local residents. The committee's remit includes areas such as planning policy, climate change, flood risk, economic development, environmental health, open spaces, parking services, and waste collection. Its role is to hold the Executive to account, review policies, and make recommendations for action and change to benefit the community.
