Purpose

To recommend to Council housing management and
community safety policies on Anti
Social Behaviour, Domestic Abuse, Hate Crime and Pets.

Content

The Executive Recommended to Council

That (i)  
the Anti-Social Behaviour
(ASB), Hate Crime, Domestic Abuse, and Pet Ownership policies,
attached at Appendices 1 to 4 of the report, be
approved;

       
(ii)  the Strategic Director –
Communities be authorised to agree minor amendments to the policies
in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Housing and the
Portfolio Holder for Community Safety; and

        (iii) the
Strategic Director – Communities be authorised to review the
minimum frequency for Officers to make contact with victims of ASB
in six months time in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for
Housing and the Portfolio Holder for Community Safety.

Reason:  To ensure
consistent, fair and effective responses when dealing with reports
of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Hate Crime, Domestic Abuse (DA) and
Pet related nuisance.
