Purpose

To receive the outcome of the Leisure
Procurement Exercise and to recommend to Council that the leisure
contract is awarded to the preferred operator.

Content

Resolved that
 
That      
(i)      the
contract for the management of the Council’s leisure centres
be awarded to the highest scoring tenderer for an initial contract
period of ten years, with provision to extend the contract for two
periods of five years; and

 
             
(ii)      authority
be delegated to the Strategic Director - Communities and Director
of Legal and Democratic Services, in consultation with the
Portfolio Holder, to take all necessary steps to effect the
decision in i. including entering into relevant
contracts
