Purpose

To review the proposed discretionary Fees and Charges for 2026-27.

Decision

The Executive Resolved

That  (i)    the initial review of fees and charges be noted, and any feedback be provided ahead of final proposals being brought back to Executive in February 2026; and

(ii)   the discretionary fees and charges for skin-piercing licensing and Environmental Information Requests, as set out in section 6 of the report, be supported for implementation with effect from 1 January 2026, to then be taken through the relevant governance process.

Reason: The regular review of discretionary charges ensures that the Council maintains its income base and generates additional resources for the provision of services.
