Purpose

To agree consultation and main principles of
PSPO.

Content

The Executive Resolved

That  (i)    public consultation on the draft
Proposed Woking Town Centre Public Spaces Protection Order should
be undertaken;

         
(ii)   authority is delegated to
the Strategic Director – Communities and Housing to take all
necessary steps to effect the decision in (i) including all
necessary publications and notifications as required by the
legislation; and

         
(iii)  it be noted that a further report
will be provided to the Executive setting out the results of the
consultation and proposing next steps.

Reason: To seek approval to proceed with a
consultation on a mechanism to tackle and reduce
anti-social-behaviour in Woking.
