Purpose

To provide an update on the Lakeview Estate
and Housing Fire Safety Remedial Works procurement processes.

Content

The Executive Resolved

That  (i)    the procurement status and programme
update for the Lakeview Estate Refurbishment Scheme be
noted;

         
(ii)   new contracts be awarded to
Amber Construction Services (Amber) and Mulalley and Company
Limited (Mulalley) to continue to deliver the ongoing fire safety
remediation works programme through a Direct Award using the South
East Consortium (SEC) Framework; and

         
(iii)  the Head of Housing Assets, in
consultation with the Strategic Director – People and
Communities and Portfolio Holder for Housing, be authorised to
finalise and implement the above appointments and extensions,
subject to Legal and Finance sign?off.

Reason: To avoid disruption and delay to the
Council’s fire safety remediation programme and maintain the
Council’s ability to discharge its statutory landlord
responsibilities.
