Purpose

To award the contract for the Lakeview Estate Refurbishment Scheme.

Decision

The Executive Resolved

That (i)   the contract for the Lakeview Estate Refurbishment Project works be awarded to the highest scoring tenderer through the London Construction Programme Housing Major Works framework (LCP MW24-H Framework (Lot 2.3));

        (ii)  authority be delegated to the Strategic Director – People and Communities and Director of Legal and Democratic Services, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Housing, to take all necessary steps to effect the decision in (i) including entering into relevant contracts; and

        (iii)  a further report on support for affected leaseholders at Lakeview be brought to a future meeting of the Executive for consideration.

Reason:  To fulfil the Council’s statutory responsibilities for resident safety and building compliance and ensure the buildings remain habitable through replacement of temporary fire safety measures with permanent solutions.  To address end-of-life components such as roofs, windows, and doors alongside external wall systems.
