Purpose

To outline the purpose of the section 16 agreement and the proposed approach for the development of the section 16 agreement and Inter-Authority Agreement(s) between the East Surrey Council and West Surrey Council.

Decision

RESOLVED That

(i)         it be agreed in principle that the Shadow Authority would enter into a Section 16 Agreement under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, informed by the disaggregation principles set out in the Implementation Plan and the outcome of the joint member group discussions; and 

(ii)        the approach and timeline for development of the Section 16 Agreement and Inter-Authority Agreement(s) between East Surrey Council and West Surrey Council be agreed.
