Purpose

This report seeks the agreement of Executive to consult on a Draft Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule.

Decision

RESOLVED that the Executive:

1) Considered the proposed CIL charges at Enclosure 2.

2) Having considered the proposed rates: a) Authorised the publication and consultation on a Draft Charging Schedule reflecting these charges in accordance with the requirements set out in the CIL Regulations 2010 (as amended); and b) Authorises the Director of Place and Growth, in consultation with the Executive Councillor for Housing, Partnerships and the Local Plan, to agree the required consultation documents.

3) Authorised the Director of Place and Growth, in consultation with the Executive Councillor for Housing, Partnerships and the Local Plan to: a) Appoint an independent examiner; b) Make any necessary changes to the Draft Charging Schedule and supporting documents following consultation; c) Submit all documents for examination.

4) Noted that the Charging Schedule, post consultation and examination, will require approval by Full Council prior to implementation.
