To ensure the appropriate specification to ensure the Council has adequate cover for risks to damage to buildings and loss rent/accommodation costs, a requirement under the terms of leases.

Alternative options considered

The Council has considered the appropriate level of self cover and works with external experts to ensure the appropriate balance and external cover for the higher significant risks.non
