Agree and commence the content of the scoping consultation (Regulation 20).

Reasons for the decision

At their meeting on 25 June 2026, Executive approved the formal commencement of a new local plan, the Local Plan 2045, in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026. This included approval of the local plan timetable set out in Enclosure 1 of the report.
Executive also agreed to delegate authority to commence and undertake scoping consultation(s) under Regulation 20. A Scoping Consultation document has subsequently been prepared, and the consultation is scheduled to commence on Monday 5th October, in accordance with the approved timetable.
