About
The Audit and Risk Committee provides independent assurance to councillors on the effectiveness of the council's risk management and internal control systems. It reviews the council's governance, risk management, and control frameworks, and oversees the financial reporting and annual governance processes. The committee also oversees the work of both internal and external auditors to ensure that assurance arrangements are efficient and effective.
