Purpose

To create a supplementary capital budget comprising West Midlands Investment Zone funding to deliver the Green Innovation Corridor Six Mile Green project.

Decision

  1. That the creation of supplementary capital budget of £6.25 million (financed in full by the awarded grant) to progress the delivery of the Green Innovation Corridor, Six Mile Green project within the West Midlands Investment Zone be approved, subject to signed grant agreement with the West Midlands Combined Authority.
  2. That the Council enter into a Grant Funding Agreement with the West Midlands Combined Authority on terms outlined in the report to secure the grant allocation.
  3. That the contract for Green Innovation Corridor Six Mile Green Professional Services be awarded to Turner and Townsend Project Management Limited of Low Hall Calverley Lane, Horsforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS18 4GH from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2028 for a total contract value of £580,967.88, subject to the external funding being formally secured.
