Purpose

Approval for the adoption of a new City of Wolverhampton Housing Complaints Policy.

Decision

1. That the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Housing Complaints Policy attached at Appendix 1 to the report be approved.
2. That the adoption of a single Housing Complaints Policy, replacing the four separate complaints policies previously operated by the Council's housing managing agents be approved.
3. That authority be delegated to the Deputy Leader: City Housing & Assets in consultation with the Executive Director of Place, to approve any minor amendments to the Housing Complaints Policy required to ensure continued compliance with the Housing Ombudsman's Complaint Handling Code and associated regulatory requirements.
