Purpose

Request for additional funding for a scheme costing in excess of the mandatory DFG

Decision

1. Agreed to the provision of a discretionary Disabled Facilities Grant for the case detailed in the report below, to a maximum of £29,000, to cover the cost of work above the mandatory grant limit, plus a small amount of contingency funding.
2. Agreed that a local land charge can be placed on the property for the full value of the discretionary funding to allow the Council to reclaim the money if the property is sold or the ownership transferred.
