About

The West Mercia Police and Crime Panel provides oversight for policing across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and Worcestershire. Its primary role is to scrutinise the performance of the directly elected Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the West Mercia area.

The Panel handles complaints regarding the conduct of the PCC and Deputy PCC, though it cannot investigate criminal offences or matters concerning police operations. It aims for informal resolution of conduct complaints and forwards criminal allegations to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. Members of the public can participate in meetings by asking questions or making statements with prior notice.
