Purpose

To directly appoint Keppie Massie to prepare a Local Plan Viability Assessment and to provide financial viability advice for Development Management.

Keppie Massie are appropriate qualified and have developed local knowledge and expertise in Wyre and on the wider Fylde coast. The consultants prepared the Viability Assessment for the adopted Local Plan and have provided ad-hoc advice to the emerging Local Plan. The consultants have also provided financial viability advice for previous planning applications. A single consultant providing advice on the local plan and planning applications ensures consistency.

To directly appoint Keppie Massie to prepare a Local Plan Viability Assessment and to provide financial viability advice for Development Management.

Alternative options considered

An open tendering exercise was considered and rejected due to the additional time it would take which would not offer a satisfactory alternative without additional work being necessary at additional cost and time.
