To consider whether or not to adopt an Asset of Community Value (“ACV”) listing review procedure

Decision
The Council is a listing authority with statutory responsibilities under the Localism Act 2011 and The Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012) (“Legislation”) for dealing with nominated assets.
The Council does not currently have a procedure in place for ACV listing reviews.
The adoption of an ACV listing review procedure will support the Council in carrying out its statutory requirements under the ACV Legislation. This will set out clear steps and timescales to be followed by both the Council and external parties when undertaking a listing review.
Not adopting an ACV listing review procedure will mean the Council having no set guidelines in place with the risk that statutory timescales may be missed.
