Decision
Resolved (unanimously) that Executive:
i. Noted that significant progress had been made on the approved programme of work and the benefits this had already started to bring.
ii. Noted the adjustments to funding for each scheme as set out in Annex 1.
iii. Paused further work on scheme 19 Bachelor Hill Tenant Road steps.
Reasons: To ensure that the programme being delivered meets the expected outcomes.
iv. Noted the findings from the PIF play area consultation and that this information was already being used to inform play area requirements.
Reason: To ensure that the programme being delivered meets the expected outcomes and to share York’s knowledge and promote the value of inclusive and accessible play to a wide range of interested parties and partners.
v. Approved a tree planting programme for the Council’s play areas and immediate surrounding green spaces in collaboration with White Rose Forest.
Reason: To both enhance the local environment and use enjoyment of the green spaces, and to contribute to the Councils tree planting ambitions.
