Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Northumberland and are not the council. About us
The North Northumberland Community Partnership is scheduled to convene on Thursday, 30 April 2026. The meeting's agenda includes an informal discussion session covering several key local issues, as well as opportunities for public engagement through questions and petitions.
Informal Discussion Session
The partnership is scheduled to hold an informal discussion session covering a range of topics relevant to the local community. These include Bus Stop Volunteering,
which may explore initiatives to improve local bus stop facilities through community involvement. The role of Rural Crime Officers
from Northumbria Police is also slated for discussion, likely focusing on their work in addressing crime in rural areas. Climate Change
will be a topic, potentially examining local impacts and responses. Discussions are also planned regarding the Northumberland Wildlife Trust,
an organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing the county's natural environment, and Rothbury Parish Council,
which represents the local interests of the Rothbury community.
Public Question Time
A segment of the meeting is allocated for Public Question Time.
This provides an opportunity for members of the public to submit written questions in advance concerning issues for which the Council has responsibility. The agenda notes that questions may be rejected if they require the disclosure of confidential or exempt information, are defamatory, frivolous, offensive, substantially the same as previous questions, disproportionate in cost to answer, being addressed through a complaints process, not about a council responsibility, or relate to planning, licensing, or other regulatory applications.
Petitions
The meeting will also address Petitions.
This item is structured to allow for the reception of any new petitions submitted by the public. Additionally, the partnership will consider reports on petitions that have been previously received and will receive updates on any petitions for which a report was previously considered.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at Jubilee Hall, Bridge Street, Rothbury, Northumberland, NE65 7SD. The full agenda and reports pack for the meeting can be accessed online. 1
