The Planning Committee of Hounslow Council met on Thursday, 11 June 2026, to consider two planning applications. The meeting's agenda included discussions on a retrospective application for alterations at 18 Grove Road and a proposal for a single-storey rear extension at 64E Waldeck Road.
18 Grove Road, TW7
The committee was scheduled to discuss a retrospective planning application for alterations at 18 Grove Road, TW7. The application involved the installation of a new window and side access door to the side elevation, along with modifications to the rear extension, including the reduction of an existing opening and the omission of previously approved flat-roof skylights. It also included the removal of a rear balcony, its replacement with a new window, repositioning of a rear skylight, and the installation of a sun tunnel. Alterations to the front landscaping and modifications to the existing two-storey side extension and single-storey rear roof forms were also part of the proposal.
The report indicated that the proposed development would not harm neighbouring properties and would preserve the character and appearance of the host property and the surrounding area. It was recommended for approval, subject to planning conditions. The site is located within the Spring Grove Conservation Area, and the application was called in by Councillor Tony Louki.
64E Waldeck Road, Chiswick
The committee was also scheduled to consider a planning application for the erection of a single-storey rear extension at 64E Waldeck Road, Chiswick, London W4 3NU. The proposed extension was described as a modest addition to the house, with the report suggesting it would have no adverse impact on the appearance of the area or on adjoining neighbours. The application was presented to the Planning Committee because it had been submitted by, or in respect of land owned by, a Member of the Council.
The report indicated that the proposed extension would be modest in scale, projecting 2.6 metres in depth, which aligns with the Council's Residential Extension Guidelines for terraced properties. The extension would not be visible from Waldeck Road and is not located within a conservation area. The report recommended approval, subject to conditions. The site is located in Flood Zone 3a, and the submission included a Flood Risk Matrix.
The meeting also included an addendum report, which was noted. The date of the next meeting was scheduled for 25 June 2026.
