The Cabinet approved progressing a full application to the Football Foundation for developing a full-sized 3G artificial sports pitch at Penlan Leisure Centre and Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bryn Tawe. The project, which includes a community sports building on Mynydd Newydd, will receive a capital funding commitment of £1,335,000, subject to the Football Foundation Grant award. The Cabinet also delegated authority to the Director of Finance and the Chief Legal Officer to manage financial and legal aspects of the project. The detailed design development and planning will proceed as part of the grant application process.

Local Authority Governor Appointments
The Cabinet approved the nominations for local authority governor vacancies on school governing bodies. Dr Ruth Costigan was appointed to Llanrhidian Primary School, and Rebecca Williams was appointed to YGG Gellionnen. These appointments were recommended by the Director of Education in conjunction with the Cabinet Member for Education & Learning.

Quarter 4 and End of Year Performance Monitoring Report 2023/24
The Cabinet reviewed the Corporate Performance for Quarter 4 and the end of the year 2023-2024. The report highlighted the Council's performance in achieving its wellbeing objectives. The Cabinet endorsed using this information to inform executive decisions on resource allocation and corrective actions to improve performance and efficiency in delivering national and local priorities.

Land at Mynydd Newydd Road (Former Leo's Site) Penplas, Swansea
In a closed session, the Cabinet discussed the land at Mynydd Newydd Road, formerly known as Leo's Site, in Penplas, Swansea. The recommendations outlined in the report were approved, but specific details were not disclosed due to the confidential nature of the discussion.
Carbon Reduction Retrofit – Phase 2
