Reporting Night-Time Economy Issues via the Website
The commission received a demonstration of proposed changes to the Hackney Council website, specifically focusing on how residents can report issues related to the night-time economy. The aim of these updates is to provide a more accessible and user-friendly platform for individuals to raise concerns about licensed premises. Councillor Susan Fajana-Thomas OBE, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Regulatory Services, was present to discuss the initiative. The demonstration showcased the council's existing licensing webpage, http://www.hackney.gov.uk/licensing.htm, and a document outlining how to complain about a licensed premises, How to complain about a licensed premises. The new webpages are intended to streamline the reporting process and ensure that resident feedback is effectively captured and addressed.
