Permission was refused for the change of use of a vacant takeaway unit (ground floor) and residential unit (first floor) into a 7-bedroom HMO. The refusal was based on the applicant's failure to demonstrate that the proposal would not adversely affect traffic levels, on-street parking demand, and the safety of road users. The committee was concerned that the additional demand for on-street parking would displace existing users and lead to inappropriate or obstructive parking, impacting highway safety.

Permission was granted for the erection of a new two-storey multi-use commercial building comprising a restaurant at ground floor level and a function and events space at first floor level, subject to conditions.
