The Local Authority Governor Panel met on Monday 14 September 2026 to discuss school governor vacancies. The panel was scheduled to consider nominations for both existing and future vacancies across a number of schools.

Local Authority School Governor Vacancies

The panel was set to review a list of existing and future vacancies for local authority school governors. This included a significant number of positions across various schools within the council's remit. The report pack indicated that the panel would consider applications against set criteria, aiming to match the skills of potential governors to the needs of the schools.

The report pack indicated that the panel would recommend individuals for appointment to these vacancies. The previous meeting's minutes from 15 June 2026 were also scheduled for approval.

The agenda also included an item for the exclusion of the public, as the following discussions were expected to contain exempt information. This was in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972.

The next meeting was scheduled for 16 November 2026.
