Women's Health Project Report

The Board is set to receive a report detailing key findings from the Women's Health Project, delivered by Healthwatch Redbridge. The report highlights consistent themes across these areas, including difficulties with access, information gaps, cultural stigma, and inadequate clinical support. Better Care Fund Plan 2026-27

The Board is recommended to approve the Better Care Fund (BCF) Plan for 2026-27. This plan details how pooled funding streams will be used to support integrated and preventative health and social care services, aiming to help residents live healthy, independent lives. The core objectives for the BCF are to effectively support integrated and preventative care, comply with expenditure and grant conditions, and ensure effective governance, reporting, and engagement. The plan outlines the total pooled budget of £44,145,281, with specific allocations for the Disabled Facilities Grant, Local Authority Better Care Grant, and the NHS Minimum Contribution.

Obesity Needs Assessment 2026

A comprehensive Obesity Health Needs Assessment (HNA) for 2026 is scheduled for discussion. This evidence-based assessment aims to understand the needs and outcomes of Redbridge residents regarding obesity prevention and healthy weight management. It provides insights into local priorities, current service provision, and identifies gaps to inform resource allocation. The HNA will guide the revision of Redbridge's Obesity Strategy, with recommendations focusing on creating healthier places and food environments, prioritising prevention across the life course, ensuring equitable access to culturally competent support, integrating care pathways, improving communication and engagement, and leveraging innovation and digital solutions.
