Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Northumberland and are not the council. About us
The Tynedale Community Partnership was scheduled to consider a range of topics, including budget matters, the Hexham Pump Track, library and customer services, the Rural Growth Fund, Tyne Green, and waste and recycling. The meeting was also scheduled to address public questions and receive any new petitions.
Informal Discussion Session
The Tynedale Community Partnership was scheduled to hold an informal discussion session with representatives present to discuss several key areas. These included the overall Budget, the proposed Hexham Pump Track, the provision of Library and Customer Services, the Rural Growth Fund, plans for Tyne Green, and matters relating to Waste/Recycling.
Public Question Time
The meeting was scheduled to include a session for Public Question Time. This would have allowed members of the public to ask questions regarding issues for which the Council has responsibility. The agenda noted that questions received in advance of the meeting would increase the likelihood of an answer being provided. The Chair of the committee had discretion over the management of this session, with provisions for questions to be rejected if they required the disclosure of confidential or exempt information, were defamatory, frivolous, offensive, or substantially the same as previously asked questions.
Petitions
The partnership was scheduled to receive any new petitions submitted by the public. Additionally, it was to consider reports on any petitions that had been previously received and receive updates on those for which a report had already been considered.
Urgent Business
The agenda also included an item for Urgent Business. This was to consider any other matters that, in the opinion of the Chair, required urgent attention due to special circumstances.
Appointments to Outside Bodies
The Tynedale Community Partnership was scheduled to make appointments to various outside bodies. These included:
- Groundwork North East - Land of Oak and Iron Project Board, for which Councillor Gordon Stewart was scheduled for appointment.
- Haltwhistle Partnership Limited, with Councillor Alan Sharp scheduled for appointment.
- Haltwhistle Swimming & Leisure Centre Management Committee, with Councillor Alan Sharp also scheduled for appointment.

- Queens Hall Arts Trust, with Councillor Suzanne Fairless-Aitken scheduled for appointment.
