The Licensing Sub-Committee of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea met on Thursday 20 August 2026 to consider a temporary event notice. Temporary Event Notice at 341 Ladbroke Grove

The committee considered a temporary event notice (TEN) submitted by Mr Motion Rajapur for the ground floor of 341 Ladbroke Grove, London, W10 6HA. The notice requested permission for the retail sale of alcohol off the premises on Sunday 30 August and Monday 31 August 2026, between 8am and 10pm each day. The premises user confirmed that the maximum number of people permitted on the premises at any one time would be 10.

Objections to the TEN were lodged by the Metropolitan Police, represented by PC Mark Perry, on the grounds of the prevention of crime and disorder and public safety. Additionally, a representation was received from RBKC Noise and Nuisance Environmental Health, represented by Mr Philip Richardson, also citing public safety concerns.

Before hearing the full submissions, the committee noted that PC Perry had not yet seen additional written statements from the applicant, Exhibits 2 and 3. To ensure fairness and that all parties had access to all relevant information, the committee agreed to a short adjournment to allow PC Perry to review these documents. Mr Richardson confirmed he had seen the additional submissions. The meeting was adjourned for this purpose.
