The Planning Applications Committee of Kensington and Chelsea Council convened on Tuesday, 06 October 2026, to consider a range of planning applications. Key decisions included the refusal of planning permission for an extension at 1A Victoria Gardens due to concerns about its scale, impact on the conservation area, and neighbouring amenity. The committee also granted advertisement consent for temporary banners on scaffolding at 2-4 Kensington Church Street and Royal Court House, and for a digital LED advertisement at 286-288 Old Brompton Road. Numerous applications for window replacements on Golborne Road were approved, as were applications for alterations and extensions at various residential properties, including 5 Pembroke Villas and 30 Barkston Gardens. A retrospective application for air conditioning units at 89 Blenheim Crescent was refused due to visual and amenity concerns.
