The Local Authority Governor Panel of Cardiff Council met on 17 June 2024 to discuss and approve nominations for Local Authority School Governor vacancies. The panel resolved to recommend several appointments and re-appointments to various school governing bodies.

Nominations to Local Authority Governor Vacancies

The panel reviewed and considered applications for current and future vacancies, matching candidates' skills to the needs of the schools. The following appointments were recommended:

• St Cuthbert’s R.C Primary School in Butetown: Luke Fadipe
• St Fagan’s CW Primary School in Ely: Preeti Pathak
• Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch in Canton: Tom Dunn
• Ysgol Gymraeg Treganna in Canton: Stefan Rollnick

For future vacancies, the following recommendations were made:

• Birchgrove Primary School in Heath: Re-appointment of Councillor Graham Hinchey
• Ton Yr Ywen Primary School in Heath: Re-appointment of Councillor Graham Hinchey
• Willows High School in Splott: Jody Greenway and Cerith Rhys Jones
• Ysgol Mynydd Bycha in Gabalfa: James Ellis
• Ysgol Gymraeg Treganna in Canton: Manon George
