Bradford South Area Committee - Wednesday, 4th December, 2024 5.00 pm
December 4, 2024 View on council websiteSummary
The Bradford South Area Committee met on 04 December 2024. The meeting was scheduled to consider a report on GP access, a report on the progress of a scheme to install Smart Street Lighting across the district, and a report on objections to planned waiting restrictions in the constituency.
GP Access
The committee was scheduled to receive an update from the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership on GP Access across the district. The report describes how the partnership has continued to implement the national delivery plan for recovering access to primary care, including the introduction of cloud-based telephony systems, improving uptake and use of the NHS App, expanding the online patient registration service to all practices, supporting practices to improve their workflows, and rolling out Pharmacy First. The report also describes improvements to the interface between general practice and secondary care hospitals, and describes the BMA's Collective Action.
Smart Street Lighting
A report was scheduled to be presented to the committee that updates members on the progress of the Smart Street Lighting project across the district. The Smart Street Lighting project is an invest-to-save project to update the council’s street lighting stock. The report provides a breakdown of the progress of the project in each ward in the constituency.
Objections Received to the Traffic Regulation Order for Waiting Restrictions on Various Roads in the Bradford South Constituency
The committee was scheduled to consider a report about objections that had been received to a Traffic Regulation Order to introduce waiting restrictions on various roads in the constituency.
The report describes how the scheme was approved by the committee on 15 February 2024 as part of the Safe Roads Programme. Objections had been received to elements of the scheme on Beacon Road and Mayfield Place. The report includes details of all of the objections received, and recommends that the scheme is implemented as advertised with the exception of the element on Beacon Road outside Beacon Community Church, which it recommends is abandoned.
