The meeting considered a planning application for the erection of a new workshop and store at Yard 50, Knowsley Industrial Park. The application site is currently occupied by a haulage business and is described as consisting of a large concrete surfaced yard with a detached two storey office building and a small brick built outbuilding

The report on the application explained that it had been called in by Councillor Graham Morgan. The report explains that:
This application is before the Committee at the request of Ward Councillor, Graham Morgan, for the following reason; Concerns regarding highway safety in terms of HGV movements to and from the site during peak times and also the impact this development could have on the existing highway network.
The application was supported by a Design and Access Statement and Flood Risk Assessment.
