The Licensing Sub-Committee (HPBC) of High Peak Borough Council met to consider whether to revoke a private hire vehicle operator’s licence.
Review of a Private Hire Operators Licence
Councillors were asked to consider whether to revoke a private hire vehicle operator's licence, under Section 66 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
The report pack does not name the operator in question, but says that the operator is alleged to have breached the conditions of their licence by continuing to operate a private hire vehicle after their licence was suspended. The report alleges that the operator:
continued to accept bookings for journeys in their licensed vehicles.
The report states that the operator was written to, invited to attend the meeting and informed that they are entitled to make representations to the Sub-Committee.
