The Children's Services and Safeguarding Parent/Carers Sub-Committee met to hear from parents and carers about the challenges they have faced accessing support services for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and social needs. The meeting was scheduled to focus on the experiences of these families as their children transitioned from school-leaving age and beyond.
Experiences of Parents and Carers of Supporting Children with SEND and Social Needs who are Approaching, and Moving Beyond, GCSE stage.
The Sub-Committee was scheduled to hear directly from parents and carers about their experiences accessing services and support for children with SEND and social needs who are approaching the age when they finish school, and afterwards.
The meeting was due to be held at Bootle Town Hall, which is the location of the offices of Sefton Council. Sefton Council is the local government authority for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, a metropolitan borough of Merseyside in North West England.
