This meeting will include a presentation about the council's strategies for getting pre-school children ready for school, with a particular focus on their social development and personal care. Councillors will also consider the next steps for the ongoing review of support for children in their early years in Stockport.
Support for pre-school children's social development and personal care
Councillors will receive an update on the council's strategies to support the social development and personal care of pre-school age children.
The report to be considered by councillors states that it will provide details relating to the strategies for working towards school readiness in early years; especially social development and personal care which would give the young children an excellent start to their school life by reducing embarrassment and negative experiences.
