The Caerphilly Council Planning Committee meeting on 11 December 2024 considered a planning application for land at the Buchan Building and Whitbread Enterprise Centre, Rhymney Walk in Rhymney. The committee was also scheduled to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.
Application No: 23/0585/FULL - Land At Buchan Building And Whitbread Enterprise Centre, Rhymney Walk, Rhymney, NP22 5DY
The meeting was to consider a planning application for land at the Buchan Building and Whitbread Enterprise Centre in Rhymney.
The officer's report on the application, which contains the details of the proposal, was to be considered by the committee. The report recommended that the application be deferred to allow the applicants to enter into a Section 106 Agreement1 to provide:
- 10% provision of Affordable Housing2; and
- Off-site contribution towards formal open space and play provision.
Subject to this agreement being completed, the report recommended that planning permission be granted.
If the obligation is not completed within three months of the resolution to approve, that the Head of Planning and Regeneration be granted delegated powers to refuse the application for failure to comply with Policies CW10 and CW11 of the Caerphilly County Borough Local Development Plan up to 2021 - Adopted November 2010.
The report also noted that:
The above decision cannot be implemented until Welsh Government have advised whether they intend to call in the application.
