• 2023/1748/FUL: This application concerned a new leisure development at Land At Kilvey Hill And Landore Park And Ride Facility, Swansea. The application was approved, subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement. Key considerations included placemaking, residential amenity, highway safety, flood risk, land contamination, ecology, trees, the Welsh language, archaeology, and education infrastructure. Concerns were raised by local councils and residents regarding traffic congestion, pressure on local infrastructure, and the provision of a spine street as outlined in the Local Development Plan (LDP). The decision acknowledged viability issues that impacted the level of affordable housing provision.

• 2024/2415/FUL: This application related to the alteration of the existing building at Ty Gwalia, 7 - 13 The Kingsway, Swansea, SA1 5JN, and the addition of two new floors. The proposal included ground-floor commercial units, new residential apartments, lobby space, waste and cycle storage, the demolition of a garage building, and the construction of a new six-storey residential block, along with a green roof and associated works. The application was approved, subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement. The development was noted as being 100% affordable housing for social rent. Considerations included placemaking, residential amenity, highway safety, cycle parking, waste storage, green infrastructure, biodiversity, and the Welsh language. A contribution was secured for active travel measures and EV charging points.
