The Property Sub-Committee met on Wednesday 2nd April 2025, and agreed to sub-let part of Great Wyrley Library to Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT), and to extend the lease of part of Peel and Walton Buildings in Stafford to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Sub-Lease of Great Wyrley Library

The committee approved the sub-letting of premises at Unit 22 Quinton Court Shopping Centre, Great Wyrley to Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT). The term of the sub-lease will expire on or just before 23 September 2029.

The final details of the sub-letting have been delegated to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets, including charging a market rent and agreeing a repayment mechanism to the sub-tenant.

Lease for the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (Job Centre)- Peel & Walton Buildings, Stafford

The committee approved the lease of premises at Peel and Walton Buildings in Stafford to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities for a further term of one year, expiring on 7 April 2026. The lease will be excluded from the security of tenure provisions contained in the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954¹.

The final terms have been delegated to the Assistant Director for Commercial and Assets to approve.
