Summary
The Central Hounslow Area Forum was scheduled to meet to discuss community support initiatives, receive updates, and provide a platform for public questions. The meeting was due to include community spotlights from the Hounslow Methodist Church and the Shaw Trust, as well as an open forum for questions from the public.
Community Support Initiatives
Two community support initiatives were scheduled to be highlighted during the meeting.
- Hounslow Methodist Church: The Hounslow Methodist Church was scheduled to present its Café Together initiative.
Shaw Trust: The Shaw Trust, a social enterprise focused on employment, was scheduled to discuss its Connect to Work - Supported Employment (SEQF) programme. According to the report pack, the Connect to Work programme, launched in partnership with the West London Alliance on 1 May 2025, aims to assist individuals with disabilities, health conditions, and complex barriers to find sustainable employment. The programme is targeting support for over 10,000 residents in Barnet, Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham. The report pack states that the programme is available to disabled people as defined in the Equality Act 2010, or individuals from special disadvantaged groups with additional complex barriers, who are economically inactive, unemployed or at risk of dropping out of work, aged 18 or over, have the right to work and live in the UK, and are not on a DWP[^1] employment programme.

Open Forum
The agenda included an open forum for questions from the public. Residents were asked to submit any questions or issues in writing at least one working day before the meeting using an Open Forum proforma, which can be found on the council website.
Declarations of Interest
At the start of the meeting, councillors were reminded of the need to declare any interests, as outlined in the Members' Code of Conduct, particularly any Disclosable Pecuniary Interests1 or Other Registerable Interests.

A Disclosable Pecuniary Interest is defined in the Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012 as any employment, office, trade, profession or vocation carried on for profit or gain, any payment or provision of any other financial benefit, any contract, any beneficial interest in land, any licence, any tenancy, or any beneficial interest in securities of a body where that body has a place of business or land in the area of the council. ↩
