The committee was scheduled to discuss the 2025/26 Corporate Plan - Quarter One Update. The report, which was provided by the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member, Finance and Transformation, covered the council's progress against the plan's objectives during the first quarter of the financial year.

The Corporate Plan outlines the council's key priorities and objectives for the year, and is used to measure the council's performance. Bury Council's Corporate Plan is based around four themes:

• Strong communities
• A thriving economy
• A clean, green environment
• A healthy population

The report included performance data and updates on key projects and initiatives, and was intended to give the committee an overview of the council's performance against its stated goals.

Regeneration Update

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to receive a report on the progress of regeneration projects in the borough. The report was listed as 'to follow' on the agenda. Regeneration projects aim to improve the economic, social, and environmental conditions of an area¹.
