The Anti-Poverty and Inequality Committee of Aberdeen City Council was scheduled to meet on Wednesday 10 September 2025. The meeting was scheduled to take place at the Fountain of Love Church and would consist of a visit to the church. During the visit, members were scheduled to hear about the work of the church and discuss how the council can support organisations that offer support to the community.

Fountain of Love Church Visit

The members of the Anti-Poverty and Inequality Committee were invited to visit the Fountain of Love Church, located at 29-31 Palmerston Road, Aberdeen AB11 5QP.

According to the schedule included in the Public Reports Pack, upon arrival, the committee members were scheduled to receive a welcome and presentation by Olushola Ajide, Christian Social Responsibility Officer/Head of Partnership Development. The presentation was scheduled to introduce the Fountain of Love Church and their work in making Aberdeen a place where everyone can be safe and prosper .

Following the presentation, a tour of the Fountain of Love Church was scheduled, giving the committee members an opportunity to meet volunteers.

The visit was scheduled to conclude with a discussion with staff and volunteers about the challenges faced by the community, and how the council can support organisations which offer support.
