In a meeting on 2 September 2025, Councillor Pete Roberts, Cabinet Member for a Learning Powys, approved the appointment of new local authority governors for three schools in Powys. These appointments are intended to take effect on 10 September 2025.
Appointment of School Governors
Councillor Pete Roberts approved the appointment of school governors as outlined in the agenda.
The appointments, made in accordance with the council's policy, assign individuals to governing bodies with immediate effect. The new governors are:
- Lindsey Phillips, who will be joining Ysgol Bro Caereinion.
- Ellen Wozencraft, who will be joining Ysgol Cefnllys.
- Robert Thomas, who will be joining Ysgol y Bannau.
