In a meeting held on 28 August 2025, Lancaster City Council's Individual Cabinet Member and Officer Delegated Decisions committee decided to award WRPS Ltd the contract for re-roofing five blocks of flats. The decision, made by Mark Davies, Chief Executive of Lancaster City Council, follows a cost and quality evaluation of tenders received.

Re-roofing Contract Awarded

The council awarded the re-roofing contract to WRPS Ltd for five blocks of flats on the Vale, Greaves and Hala estates. The blocks include Heaton House, Arcon House and Tunstall House.

The decision to award the contract to WRPS Ltd was based on a cost/quality evaluation of the tenders received. The decision was approved and delegated to the Chief Executive by the Cabinet on 11 February 2025, as part of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and Capital Programme. The council approved the budget for this at a meeting on 26 February 2025.
