Here is a summary of the agenda for the Licensing Sub-Committee meeting scheduled for Monday 6th October 2025. The meeting was scheduled to discuss a premises licence application for Farnworth Mini Market. The sub-committee was also scheduled to consider whether any parts of the meeting should be held in private.
Premises Licence Application: Farnworth Mini Market
The sub-committee was scheduled to consider an application for a premises licence for Farnworth Mini Market, located at 20 Higher Market Street, Farnworth, Bolton. As part of this, the sub-committee was scheduled to:
- Consider representations submitted relating to the application.
- Determine the matter.
- Announce the decision on the application.
The agenda noted that the determination of the matter would be undertaken in private session by the sub-committee.
Procedure for the Meeting
The Chair of the Sub-Committee was scheduled to summarise the procedure for the meeting, and announce the time limits for each party to speak.
The sub-committee was also scheduled to consider whether background papers and reports relating to the premises licence application for Farnworth Mini Market were confidential, as defined in paragraph 14(2) of the Licensing Act 2003 (Hearings) Regulations 2005, and whether the public should be excluded from all or part of the hearing. According to the agenda, this would be considered if the sub-committee thought that the public interest in so doing outweighs the public interest in the hearing, or that part of the hearing, taking place in public.
