The Conwy and Denbighshire Public Services Board Joint Overview and Scrutiny Committee are scheduled to meet by video conference to discuss the Public Services Board's (PSB) progress in delivering its Well-being Plan, and to review the committee's forward work programme. The committee will also receive the minutes from previous Public Services Board meetings and review the PSB's forward work programme.

Well-being Plan Progress

The committee will be considering a report that provides an update on the Conwy and Denbighshire Public Services Board's Well-being Plan, covering the period since the last annual report.

The report notes some of the activities undertaken by the PSB, including:

• Receiving an update from Gwynedd County Council on expenditure against the North Wales Public Services Board Support Grant for 2024 to 2025.
• Receiving a presentation on the outputs of the Community Narratives Project in Bruton Park, Rhyl and Pensarn.
• Approving the Conwy and Denbighshire Public Service Board Annual Report for 2024 to 2025.
• Reviewing the PSB Risk Register.
• Receiving an update on the Healthy Travel Charter.
• Providing input to regional plans to develop a Climate Change Risk Assessment.
• Hosting a sub-group meeting on Diversity Equality and Inclusion (DEI) and working with the North Wales Public Sector Equality Network (NWPSEN) to support this work.
• Receiving a presentation from the North Wales Councils Regional Emergency Planning Service (NWCREPS) on their work and the regional infrastructure in place to support emergency planning.
• Progressing discussion on agri-food security systems, receiving presentations on food partnership work taking place in Conwy and Denbighshire and on regional work to support horticulture and local food production.
• Reviewing the Terms of Reference in preparation for its September meeting.

The report also notes that the PSB's business risks are captured on its Risk Register, and that the chief risk remains that PSB partners are engaged and have the resource and capacity to give and drive forward the PSB's work.

The report recommends that the Committee considers the progress made against the Well-being Plan to date and provides feedback or recommendations to the PSB, as necessary.

Forward Work Programme

The committee will be considering and discussing its proposed forward work programme.

The draft forward work programme includes the following items:

• 13 March 2026: An item relating to the work of the PSB (to be confirmed).
• 13 March 2026: Contribution of PSB Partners or Invited Participants to the work of the PSB and the benefits of the PSB to partners – Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) & Denbighshire's Voluntary Services (DVSC).
• 9 October 2026: The Conwy and Denbighshire Public Services Board – Annual Report 2025/2026.
• 9 October 2026: Contribution of PSB Partners or Invited Participants to the work of the PSB and the benefits of the PSB to partners.
