The Members Home to School Transport Appeals Panel of Carmarthenshire Council met on 2nd October 2025, to consider an appeal against the non-provision of free school transport. Councillor Edward Thomas, Cabinet Member for Transport, Waste and Infrastructure, and Councillor Glynog Davies, Cabinet Member for Education & Welsh Language, were scheduled to attend. Councillors Crish Davies and Lewis Davies, were also scheduled to attend as local members for the appellant learner's ward.
Exclusion of the Public
The agenda for the meeting of the Members Home to School Transport Appeals Panel included a statement that the report relating to the appeal by applicant K.J.L.J. would not be for publication because it contained exempt information, as defined in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) (Wales) Order 2007.
The agenda stated that if the panel resolved to consider the item in private, the public would be excluded from the meeting during such consideration.
Appeal Against Non-Provision of Free School Transport
