Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Hounslow and are not the council. About us
The Pension Board of Hounslow Council was scheduled to meet on Wednesday 15 April 2026 to review the fund's performance, administration, and future plans. Discussions were also planned regarding compliance with pooling and good governance guidelines.
Pension Fund Administration Performance Report
A significant portion of the meeting was scheduled to be dedicated to the Pension Fund Administration Performance Report. This report, detailed across several appendices, was intended to provide an overview of the fund's operational efficiency. It included a narrative on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 1, an analysis of the age profile of the scheme members 2, and the results of a customer survey 3. Additionally, the report was expected to cover current technical issues affecting administration 4.
Pension Board Monitoring Report
The Pension Board was also scheduled to review its Monitoring Report. This report, which includes a Pension Fund Risk Register 5 and details on risk management scoring 6, was to provide an update on the board's oversight activities. A specific focus was to be placed on the Late Payment Register 7 up to 31 December 2025.
Pension Board Forward Plan 2026-27
The meeting agenda included a review of the Pension Board's Forward Plan for 2026-27. This plan outlines the board's objectives and activities for the upcoming year. A training log 8 was also to be presented, likely detailing professional development activities undertaken by board members.
Compliance with Pooling and Good Governance Guide
A key item on the agenda was the discussion of compliance with the Pooling and Good Governance Guide. This would involve considering a report on the matter 9, which was expected to include correspondence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) 10 regarding the Fit for the future
initiative for funds and pools.
Terms of Reference and Previous Minutes
The meeting was scheduled to begin with a review of the Pension Board's Terms of Reference 11. Following this, the minutes of the previous meeting held on 21 January 2026 12 were to be considered, along with an updated Actions Tracker 13 from that meeting.
